Where Can I Serve?

By God’s grace, living out these purposes will both declare and display to the watching world that we…

Gather to Grow to Give and to Go

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

By modeling the church in Acts, worshiping, praying, teaching, discipling, community building, reaching the lost, and mercy ministries, new members will move from being spectators to servants, generously and cheerfully giving of their time, talent and treasure to advance the cause of Christ in Deerfield Beach and to the ends of the Earth.

First Impressions Team

The First Impressions Team is a great opportunity for church members and regular attenders to be able to serve God in a simple but powerful capacity.

By simply coming a few minutes early for your regularly attended worship service you can serve as a vital part of making God’s ministry grow at The Cross!

This service team is separated into three core teams (which you can choose based on your preference or gifting). These teams include the:

  • Hospitality Team – Preparation of coffee and light refreshments
  • Greeter & Welcome Team – Be a warm and friendly face, greet new people prior to church service, and help them find their way around campus as needed.
  • Campus Setup Team – Assist in pre-service set-up responsibilities.
Contact Ali Roloff at asn8586@gmail.com for more information about how you can become a part of the team.

Music & Special Occassion Choir

God-honoring worship is something we hold strong to at The Cross.  Many church members are involved in our music ministry. – from playing instruments and serving as vocalists, to serving at the sound board and tech set-up.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of The Cross, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

If you have a talent or gift for music, please contact David Proko at david@thecrosscc.org to find out more about being a part of this ministry.

The usher team at The Cross fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men whose ministry is integral to our church.

Please contact Deacon Bob Losey at blosey@bellsouth.net if you feel led to serve as a part of this important team at The Cross.

Media & Technology

At The Cross, we recognize that using media to spread the gospel is a great opportunity.  In this age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship opportunity to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.  All of our weekly sermons and special seminars/classes are uploaded to our website tool (Sermon Audio) in audio formats. We also maintain active Facebook accounts (and Twitter feeds coming soon).

You can visit www.sermonaudio.com. And make Cross Community Church a “favorite” of yours – You can also download the Sermon Audio app from the app store (ITunes or Android) for easy access to content from The Cross on your mobile devices (phones, pads, tablets, etc.)

Ccontact David Proko at david@thecrosscc.org if you have a talent for technology and/or feel led to support us in this ministry.

Prayer Warriors

The power of prayer cannot be overestimated.  Prayer moves the hand of God. Throughout the week, our Cross Prayer Team prays for their pastor, a list of people in need of specific prayer, and any special requests.

Please contact either David Proko at david@thecrosscc.org to be part of our Prayer Team or to share a prayer request.

Children’s Church & Nursery

It is our commitment at The Cross to provide fun and meaningful opportunities for children to know the Lord and grow their relationship with Him.   This is why we offer many opportunities for children to worship and learn in an age appropriate environment.  It is also our desire to help parents teach their children how to worship together as a family.

There are several ways to volunteer and become a part of this awesome facet of ministry at The Cross.  We currently provide:

 – A full Kid’s Worship experience for Kindergarten through 5th grade with Nursery services for ages 4 and under with an age appropriate Bible lesson.

 – An age appropriate Bible lesson for children ages 6 and under.

We also provide children’s bulletins and listening sheets for those who remain in the sanctuary to worship with their families.

Please contact Conner Armstrong at conner@thecrosscc.org if you have a talent/love for teaching, a heart for young people, and feel led to support us in this ministry.
